John Schulz Wins Family Slidefest for $2,000 in Dubuque!

(Bill W) Dubuque, IA, July 27, 2016 – John Schulz won an entertaining feature Tuesday night with the Shottenkirk.com Sprint Invaders.  He out-dueled his nephew Josh Schneiderman at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds Speedway.  The feature saw a number of slide jobs between the two for the lead on the banked 3/8-mile oval.  Schulz earned $2,000 for his win aboard the Jimmy Davies Racing #99. Schulz grabbed the lead by an eyelash when the first of 25 laps was completed, ahead of Josh Schneiderman and series’ point leader, Chris Martin.  Josh and Schulz exchanged the lead several times over the next few laps before Josh took control. A caution for a spun Rob Weuve slowed things with seven laps in the books.  Schulz slid in front of Schneiderman on the restart and gained a narrow advantage at the stripe.  One more lap was complete before Travis Porter spun into the infield.  At the same time, ...

Martin Extends Point Lead With Sprint Invaders Win At Tipton

Eighteen-­year-­old Chris Martin is on a roll now winning his second straight Shottenkirk.com Sprint Invaders main event and extending his point lead in the process. Thursday night's flag­-to-­flag triumph at the Cedar County Raceway in Tipton, Iowa, follows up a win three weeks ago at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines with the young driver proving that he can not only win on the big half ­miles, but on the quarter ­mile bullrings as well. Josh Schneiderman was a heat race winner and later took the checkers first in the Budweiser "King of Beers" Shake Up Dash, but when he drew the number six for his starting spot that landed the Dash runner­-up, Martin on the pole for the 25 ­lap main event. Chris Martin Becomes First Sprint Invaders Repeat Winner in Des Moines!

Wednesday, June 22, 2016 Chris Martin and the team celebrate in Victory Lane in Des Moines (Conrad Nelson Photo)(Bill W) Des Moines, IA, June 22, 2016 – Chris Martin became the first driver with the Shottenkirk.com Sprint Invaders with a repeat win this season by driving the Chris Martin Racing #44 to victory Wednesday night at the Iowa State Fair Speedway in Des Moines.  The win was worth $1,500 to the 18-year-old driver from Ankeny, Iowa. Martin shot out to the early lead in the 20-lap feature event, ahead of Jon Agan, and John Schulz, who surged from sixth to third.  Agan’s run was short-lived, however, on a night when his sponsor, Dee Zee Manufacturing, was sponsoring the race night.  The Knoxville driver would pull to the infield and retire on lap three.
