Racing Action Moves to Quincy, Illinois

The season is winding down for the Shottenkirk.com Sprint Invaders with just 2 events left on the schedule.   This Sunday, September 4th, the Invaders will race at Quincy Raceway in Quincy, Illinois.  Ryan Jamision parked it in victory lane at 34 Raceway on August 20th for his first Invaders win this season, with Chris Martin coming in second. That extended Martin's points lead over Jarrod Schneiderman to just under 100 points. Ryan Jamison Flies to Popular Win at 34 Raceway

(Bill W) West Burlington, IA, August 20, 2016 – “Flyin’” Ryan Jamison won for the first time with the Shottenkirk.com Sprint Invaders since 2012 when he won back to back events at Cedar County Raceway in Tipton, Iowa and at the track he won at Saturday night, 34 Raceway near West Burlington, Iowa!  The three-time series’ champion’s win was worth $1,600 to the Mediapolis, Iowa native.  It was the sixth career win for Jamison with the Sprint Invaders, and his second at 34 with the series. Before a lap could be completed, John Schulz, Friday night’s winner at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa, bicycled in turn three.  He got up on two wheels, and then one, but didn’t turn over.  Damage to the right front sidelined him, however. John Schulz Tops Tough Field in Donnellson

(Bill W) Donnellson, IA, August 19, 2016 – John Schulz emerged victorious Friday night at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa with the Shottenkirk.com Sprint Invaders.  It was the West Burlington, Iowa native’s fourth career win in Donnellson with the Sprint Invaders and the thirteenth of his career with the series.  Schulz’s win was worth $1,500 and came ahead of a talented 27-car field. Schulz’s nephew, Josh Schneiderman, won the Shake-up Dash, and drew a three, putting his uncle on the pole of the 25-lap feature.  Before a lap could be completed, Harold Pohren, who started fifth, spun in turn one and collected Damian Getchell, who flipped.  Pohren tipped over as well, but neither was injured. Schulz claimed the lead as the green fell with Chris Martin, Josh Schneiderman and Wayne Johnson in tow.  With two laps in the books, the turn four cone was hit, bringing out the caution flag.  Once ...

John Schulz Wins Family Slidefest for $2,000 in Dubuque!

(Bill W) Dubuque, IA, July 27, 2016 – John Schulz won an entertaining feature Tuesday night with the Shottenkirk.com Sprint Invaders.  He out-dueled his nephew Josh Schneiderman at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds Speedway.  The feature saw a number of slide jobs between the two for the lead on the banked 3/8-mile oval.  Schulz earned $2,000 for his win aboard the Jimmy Davies Racing #99. Schulz grabbed the lead by an eyelash when the first of 25 laps was completed, ahead of Josh Schneiderman and series’ point leader, Chris Martin.  Josh and Schulz exchanged the lead several times over the next few laps before Josh took control. A caution for a spun Rob Weuve slowed things with seven laps in the books.  Schulz slid in front of Schneiderman on the restart and gained a narrow advantage at the stripe.  One more lap was complete before Travis Porter spun into the infield.  At the same time, ...
